The Fortuna Police Department will proudly unveil their new police patch beginning in January of 2006.  The current police patch has been in use for over the past 20 years and the Department is excited to have an updated patch.  The current patch design was developed by the members of the Fortuna Police Department in cooperation with Symbol Arts, who also helped to create the Department's centennial badges.  Over a period of several months, over a dozen revisions were made to the original patch concept, until all members of the Department were satisfied with the outcome.  The new patch proudly displays our American Flag while also showcasing the natural beauty of Fortuna and its nearby lands.  We hope that the citizens of Fortuna will be proud of this new beautiful patch.
