The purpose of the animal control program is to enforce animal control regulations by responding to citizen animal control complaints. Responsibilities also include the humane care and treatment of impounded animals.  Our CSO's are responsible for picking up lost or injured animals.  If you have a missing animal, please contact the Fortuna Police Department or view our special found animal page.

Pictured below are Community Service Officers Gabe McCovey and Dawn Dokweiler.  Gabe and Dawn have many responsibilities including Animal Control duties.
